At Tracenet Legal Services, we are a market-leading and multi-award-winning UK Process Server.
We arrange and manage the service of hundreds of items of Legal Process, every week.
The easiest and quickest method of instructing us to serve your legal paperwork is to email us directly at enquiries@tracenet.co.uk.
In matters where a 'copy' of the papers can be served, an emailed copy enables us to often arrange service on the same day as your instruction is received.
If you would prefer us to serve the original papers then we would ask that you send two full copies of the papers to be served to our administration address of 12 Haviland Road, Ferndown Industrial Estate, Wimborne, Dorset, BH21 7RG.
When posting original papers to us, please be aware that once received, we will then forward the papers to our chosen Process Server. This can mean a delay of upto 4-7 days before we can attempt service.
In urgent matters, we can have your papers sent directly to the process servers home address although again, there will likely be a small delay whilst the papers are delivered to the process server.
Where ever possible, we would always suggest instructing us by email.

IF YOUR PROCESS SERVE IS URGENT
PROCESS SERVE CONSIDERATIONS
Before you instruct us to serve your process, it is always advisable to double check that all of the information relating to the case is correct. Below are a few items for you to consider before instructing us :
Timescales for Service
It's advisable to double check that we will have sufficient time to receive your process serving instruction, arrange service attempts and return our proof of service to you within the timescales relating to the nature of the process being served. If the deadline for service is urgent and only a few days in the future, we would suggest that you contact us first to discuss the best method of approaching the service. We have provided this link for you to check the Timescales of Service relating to your instruction.
Address for Service
Check that the address is complete. Note that the address details being recorded incorrectly on paperwork does not necessarily stop attempts at service, but incorrect address details can result in delays in service.
Name of the Person or Entity to be served
Double check that the name details of the individual or entity being served are correct as if they are incorrect, it is expected that you return the papers to the Court and ask them to amend it. Only Court Officers are able to make the amendment - doing it yourself may invalidate the document. Failing to amend it can result in the service being invalid as the person served can argue they are not the person named on the document.
Other Useful Information
Aside from providing the name and address details of the individual to be served, it is always of benefit to us when other known information can be provided to assist us in attempting serving. Other useful information could be :
- Descriptive details of the individual including photos if available
- Employment details, work address and hours worked
- Vehicle details
- Social details such as regular times that the individual may go out, or return home
- Other known locations that the individual may frequent, such as a gym, a club, pub etc.
- Other known contact details such as social media profiles, mobile telephone numbers and email addresses.
